PRESS RELEASE:
CPH PRO 2010
Skateboarding Competition
June 23-24-25-26-27
The world’s best skaters scrap over their share of 400,000 Danish bucks!
For the fourth year running, Copenhagen Skatepark Association and Royal Copenhagen Skate are proud
to present CPH PRO 2010, Europe’s biggest skate contest, where the world’s best pro’s gather to battle
over 400,000 Danish crowns. CPH PRO is located in the freshly redesigned and newly built
Copenhagen Skatepark on Enghavevej 80 from the 25th-27th June 2010.
CPH PRO is the high point for European skateboarding in 2010. A number of top pro skaters have already
signed up including Eric Koston, Tony Trujillo, Mike Carroll, Rick McCrank and local hero Rune Glifberg.
According to Rune “CPH PRO brings the world’s skateboarding elite and Danish youth together in a
positive environment. At the same time it’s an important part in the development of European skateboarding.
The competition puts Denmark and Copenhagen on the map while inspiring our youth to seek out
new experiences and challenges.”
CPH PRO is run and organised in collaboration with Spotlight Productions from Florida, best known for their
lovechild, The Tampa Pro, and who are old hands at running some of the best contests in the U.S.
As with previous years, mad souvenir collector and skate park construction legend, Brent Kronmueller
and his team of ten thumbed workers have designed and built the course. The lethal combination of
Kronmueller and the Spotlight crew, with their combined skills and history, attracts the best skaters
from around the globe.

Events in Copenhagen and Malmö
Plenty of our international guests will be showing up well in advance of the contest so there are
several free events scheduled in Copenhagen and Malmö to keep them not only occupied, but also stoked.
To celebrate Midsummer, 45,000 crowns are up for grabs at the Ring Of Fire contest, Wednesday 23rd June
at Amager Strandpark. There will be free barbecued dogs and DJ’s dropping tunes.
The following day, 20 of the world’s top riders are giving a demo at Stapelbäddsparken in Malmö.
Not just skateboarding: Timbuktu and Spektors live
The entire weekend will flow together like a mini festival in the courtyard behind Copenhagen Skatepark
hosting the likes of friendly Swedish neighbour Timbuktu, local ass-kickers Spektors, funky hiphop
collective Booty Cologne and garagepopsters Ghost Society. Both Friday and Saturday nights will be
bangin’ yard-parties featuring Dj Le Bon (Den Sorte Skole), Tue Track, Master Fatman, Fagget Faireys
and more.
Keep your eyes peeled for the full program.
Price: 250,- for all 3 days. Tickets at www.billetlugen.dk
