Carhartt Presents Aloe Blacc European Tour

Carhartt and Stones Throw Records are proud to present the first major European Tour of Aloe Blacc. The new Soul sensation from Los Angeles will be touring Europe together with his band, The Grand Scheme, during the last weeks of September and all of October, introducing his brand new longplayer "Good Things" (out on 27 September across Europe). Aloe Blacc, who sees himself as a musical activist and is best known worldwide for his hit "I Need A Dollar", will present a package of handmade Soul rhythms and lyrics with a social message – a style he has dubbed "Brand New Old Soul".

As a side event of the tour, Carhartt celebrates the release of the CD “Dark End of the Street” which was exclusively compiled for us. The CD features unstoppable Soul, Funk, and Boogie tracks composed and performed by artists such as Mayer Hawthorne, Dam-Funk, and Paul White. Courtesy of Stones Throw Records and its sister labels Now-Again and Soul Cal, a couple of previously unreleased gems from bands and acts like Freedom Express, Dimlite, and Paul White round off the track list.

The CD’s highlight is an exclusive Aloe Blacc cover version of the classic "The Dark End of The Street" previously performed by such artists as James Carr, Bruce Springsteen, Eva Cassidy, or Cat Power.

The CD will be available at all Carhartt Stores and Carhartt retailers.
